Moody Beach Maine - The Canonicus

The Canonicus is our summer oceanfront rental property located on Moody Beach (private beach), Wells, Maine. This 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath house is strategically located halfway between two of the few public ways on Moody, ensuring a private beach experience.

Canonicus (pronounced kuh-NON-ih-kus) is named after a Narragansett sachem (chief) who was a prominent leader in the early 17th century and maintained peaceful relations with English settlers in the region.

Rental Information

  • Maximum of 6 occupants, including babies and children of all ages
  • No pets of any kind
  • Stove, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee machine
  • Clothes washer, dryer, and second refrigerator in basement
  • TV, telephone, and free high speed Internet/Wifi
  • Weber 3 burner outdoor gas grill
  • House should be left as clean as it was found
  • Check out: Saturday at 10:00 am; Check in: Saturday at 1:00 pm
  • NEMA 14-50 outdoor outlet for electric vehicle charging (Tesla, Rivian, etc.)

Rentals are available from June through September in weekly blocks, Saturday to Saturday. Please contact us for availability and pricing.
